Bed measurements

Hey folks I am looking for a favor. I am restoring a 1966 Ford short bed and am looking for a tonneau cover, the new kind that mount on a rail on top of the bed. Unfortunately, all of the local dealers cataloges only go back to 1973. Sooo, I was wondering if any of you guys that have a 73 to 70 short bed would be kind enought to measure your bed. I suppose the best place would be inside the bed rails length and width. Thanks a lot in advance.

72 was a cutoff year, 73 to 79 had the same bed style. My 79 measure's right at 65" inside dimension.

Thanks for the input Ranger. I measured my bed and it is also 65 inches inside across. I am assuming that you have a short bed, as such, what is the meaurement length wise, from inside of tailgate to inside of front edge? Once again, thanks I really appreciate it.
