trans modulator hookup

I'm finally nearing the end of my '69 ranger restoration, I need to know how to hook up the modulator valve on the c-6. The mod that's on the trans has two vacuum points, one in the middle of the valve and another on the side of the valve. could someone tell me where they need to terminate?
Thanks for the help thus far.
Greg

I have no idea, I have never seen a modulator with 2 ports. Some of the guys in the tranny forum may know.

You sure you have a C6? I just went through a C6 manual written by the Automatic Transmission Service Group and all they show is one vacuum line to the modulator. There is some special provisions for when connected to a diesel engine and the picture of that modulator is not clear, but even it looks to have only one vacuum line.

Wish I could be more help, perhaps someone else has two vacuum lines to their modulator.

Yep it's a c-6 for sure. I'll try to get some pictures later this evening of the part in question.

The vacuum advance pots on distributors that have side ports are not vents, they are dual diaphragm advance mechanisms used for emissions systems. Many were disconnected tho...
