Front Drive Shaft

I need to replace my front drive shaft.... Any suggestions as to where to get one?

2000 F350 7.3L Auto-trans

A drive shaft is something I would not normally buy new. They are pretty indestructible. What happened to yours?

If you really need a replacement, a salvage yard is probably your best bet. Then put new u-joints in it.

If yours just has a damaged end yoke, it is often best to have it repaired. Find a driveline shop. Just about every town has one. They can cut out your old yoke and weld in a new one quickly and inexpensively.

CV joint was bad... Tore up the male end on the driveshaft.... Never really thought about having it repaired... Might be a good option. Thanks

the only real way to damage a driveshaft is to hit it with something or crush it in a vise...

to fix the end, they will just cut the old one off and weld a new one on...
