My wife is the proud owner of a 85 Bronco II. It seems as if the engine loses its electrical power when you change to high beams or back the other woy to dims. Only loses power as long as the lever is pulled back, regains it when lever goes forward.
I am an elec. tech. and it has me scratching my head. Any help greatly appreciated.

I found it the ignition switch is flakey..... somehow if the switch is not in just the right spot the engine must be getting its power from the wrong contact on the switch.. I'd say thanks for the help, but there were no responses....anyway
