wipers: wipers come on only when placed on high and sometimes then pause half way.... noticable power drain as they go into park before stating up again...
changed the motor, tested the column switch... cannot find the wiper control module... (plus it is about 50 bucks from the dealer)
any way to troubleshoot the problem before wasting a lot of money replacing parts?
Like Russ86B2 sez, it could be a ground problem. If yours has interval wipers herea how to test. According to the "Electrical & vacuum trouble shooting manual" for my 87(30 bucks at www.helminc.com) the first thing to check is for tight connections of the "governor mounting screws" The governor (on my 87) is "under the instrument panel on cowl side above parking brake" Loose screws equal a bad ground. Check that & if still no good, post back for the next next thing to test. Forgot to mention theres also a ground screw to check. It's "at interval governor"
