I have an 88 Bronco 2 and I am constantly looking for more power any way I can get it. I have a freshly rebuilt 2.9 liter engine that is bored out and also has a bigger cam in it. Is there any more modifications I can do for as little money as possible? Like something with my air filter or timing or adjust my valves?
You can try a K&N air filter. If you have a bigger cam the timing will not be the same as a stock cam. You should call the cam maker to find out the right timing. If you can't get the info from the cam builder then theres a way to set your timing. What you do is unplug you stout plug hook up a vacuum gage. Start the engine advance the timing till the vacuum stop going up then retard the timing untill the gage drops one inch of mercury and lock it down there.Let me know how it comes out.

Put on some World Casting polished & ported heads. They do not crack and have enough meat that the ports can be polished and opened up for better breathing.
