2000 explorer limited electrical problem
After starting with doors closed, the door ajar light stays on with all doors closed and double checked and the dash lights look to be about half of the correct brightness as found in the radio and the doors do not lock automatically when put into gear.

spray some penetrating oil into the latch assembly on all the doors. the switch for the door ajar is built into the latch assembly and from moisture build up and such will become stuck. just spray a few times and close and open the door a few times and that should solve your problems
