Hey folks. My rear tail light above the rear window burned out and I am quite perplexed as to how replace it. I have removed the interior piece to get access to some screws, and by opening up the window, there appear to be some rivets binding this to the flashing. Does one ultimately have to remove the door altogether, or is there something else I am missing. I'd appreciate any suggestions if you have been through this before.
havent replaced this yet but from my understanding from other posts, i believe you have to drill out the rivets in order the replace the light. its a high intensity led bar with a transformer near it that produces quite a bit of power from what i heard, do a search for your problem and you should find more info, sorry i couldnt be any further help.
Many thanks to marragtop and 98txexplorer for your comments. My lamp was waterlogged, so I suspect that somehow I must have shorted out over time. I wonder how long ago that it happened. I went through my repair methodology so perhaps that helps for others. See Cali-gal's original thread.
