I have an 83 f100 with explorer package. I had it painted and now I can't find the decals that were on the sides. They said explorer at the rear and had pinstripes from front to back. There is a photo in galleries. Can anyone help?

I have similar decals on my 82 F100. I haven't seen them in lmc truck, but I think national parts depot might have them if their catolog. I've seen some decals on ebay. If you find a good source for the decals let me know, I'd like to replace mine when I get the body fixed up. Fred

I also have an 83 F100... just wondering what the Explorer package is?
The Explorer package was cross between the Custom and XL and leaned more toward the XL. The early Explorer was more bling than function as it was primarily a trim package that added little more than better shocks and brakes to the F-100 Custom but was not as basic looking as the Custom.
Thanks 82F1507.5, I have often wondered what the explorer decals on my 82 F100 stood for. Im guessing its just like how there used to be F150 rangers and so on.
