I do know it is a 460. I was just wondering if this decal gave an indication as to what year. The intake has the number D4VE stamped on it. The heads are D3VEs.

The one on top. I can make out the one similar to the bottom one just a little. I can see 460ci and the noted rpm with and without AC. It is located on the driver's side. I was hoping for the one on the passenger's side like the picture you posted first. Thanks.

I was hoping it would help. The heads are D3VEs and the intake is stamped D4VE and I think the block is stamped DIVE(?). I think the D3VE heads started in 73' but that is all I know/think. Does any of this help id the year?

all you have so far is a 460 originally designed in 1973/74

Those engineering numbers = parts designed for a 1973/74 460 ..basically tuned down lower compression ratio that sucks fuel like no tomorrow.

There are other casting numbers that related to the actual Date of the part.

look for characters like *3K22*

Thanks. I'll look a little more thoroughly tomorrow. It would just be nice to know what year for parts selection. It will be my first rebuild.
