Original Shocks Excursion 2001
Hello
This is a message from Norway. I have a Excursion 6.8 2001 modell. I have noticed that many excursion owners have replaced the original shocks with new ones.
My question are: What will i gain from replacing the original shocks with f.ex. a shock from Ranchero?? Please give me input on what to expect and what shock you have installed??

I replaced my shocks with Rancho 9000s. There are adjustable shocks.
Replacing the stock shocks with quality aftermarket can improve the suspsion action and give you a more controlled, tighter feel and in most cases help with the excessive body roll on the Excursion.
They will improve your ride compliance by having more specialized dampening rates or, in most cases, imcreased dampening rates.
You really cannot go wrong with any of the major aftermarket brands of shock designed for your Excursion.
