80 302 Not Charging

Okay I got an 83 Ranger with a 302/C4 combo out of an 80 granada. My problem is that the battery does not get charged by the alternator. I do believe i have the alternator hooked up properly. It is being ran by a voltage regulator but I suspect I may have either hooked up the voltage regulator wrong or I have hooked up the alternator wrong. Can you guys point me in the right direction for getting this thing fixed?

Welcome to FTE Garret. I would probably take the alternator out and get it tested at Pep Boys, AZ etc. Was it working in the granada? If it checks out ok, check your wiring again, and I think I would then replace the regulator. Make sure all your contacts are clean, the cables are clean, and grounds are tight. Electrical problems drive me nuts, so I wish you good luck.

I would guess the granada probably had an idiot light. Your truck may have had an amp guage. I would wire it according to what the truck had. Here's the two different diagrams.
