I drove my 87 Bronco II thru the creek a couple times on the weekend (not very deep) and it quit running. I'm thinking it's a fuel pump relay because when you turn on the ignition I can not hear the fuel pump priming at all. All the wiring to the pump & tank is ok. The emergency impact shutoff was not tripped at all. Is it possibly the fuel pump relay? How can I tell? Is this one of the 3 relays on the passenger side fender?
Thanks for any help.

i don't know if this is your problem but it is the green relay in the same spot you are talking about. a new relay is only a few dollars so why not replace in anyways
Thanks for the help. I think I'll try it tonight yet. And cheaper than a few dollars is getting the relay out of the other Bronco.

On the fuel rail that hooks to all the fuel injectors, to find out if your pump isn't pumping up, there's a thing like an air valve for your tire. Turn the ignition on and depress the shrader valve. If fuel spews out, you're getting pressure. If fuel spews out and it's still not starting, look elsewhere...spark plugs or no juice to the injectors.
Ok, I have a fuel problem. It isn't the pump, the relay, or the shutoff switch, all were bypassed or replaced. Any other places to check? Fusible links or anything? Is the fuel pump relay signalled by the computer? I pulled back the carpet and there was a huge gap where the firewall used to meet the floor pan and the carpet was all wet there. I didn't fry my computer by some freak chance, did I?
The only good side to not having a running 2.9 to get the Bronco on the road is another "pro" to installing a 5.0 :-)
