Squeak in Front End

Based on my experience the other night, I would have the dealer check the integrity of the output shaft on your steering gear box. Mine sheared the other night and had I been on a highway going faster, I might have been killed. Mine sheared between the pitman arm and the steering gear box. I've had two steering/alignment specialists look at it and they both are of the opinion it is a manufacturer defect. Let me know if this helps and/or if this is the problem as I'm trying to find if this condition exists in other trucks. I have a - and this is directly from the sticker - 2001 F-150 4x4 Supercab Lariat 139" WB Flareside 5.4L V8.
