Exclamation Not the usual keypad entry question

Hi. i have a 1996 -x-, and i need the keypad entry REprogramed, not an additional personal code, but reprogramed, where the old code is wiped out. I know there is a way to do it, because i asked ford house and they wanted 150 to change it. I have found the thread once, and cannot find it now that i need it, if i remember correctly, after you did all the steps to reprogram it, the dash lights flashed. someone im not on good terms with has found out my code , (not my fault) and i need it changed. Thanks!

Well, this should be very easy if you're good with the soldering iron.

Here's the instruction: http://webpages.cwia.com/%7ebdklein/sho.htm

Though this instruction is for Taurus SHO, I believe this should be 100 per cent compatible with the Explorer.

With best regards,
Yuri

You have two options:
1. do as Yuri suggested...which requires work or
2. replace the keyless entry module.

The factory code is hard wired, and un-programmable...you ALWAYS have it...unless you physically change it (as the previous post shows in the link).
