Where's everyone from?? - Introduce yourself.
LOL! I'm from Oklahoma originally, though I've never heard the wheat country there described by how far in advance one could see a visitor coming!
I spent a month in your part of Germany, mainly in Leer. I can't describe here adequately enough how utterly beautiful Germany was and how wonderful a time I had too! I stayed in Leer mostly, but visited Oldenburg, Papenburg, Bremen, Wolfsburg, Berlin, and Hameln. Heartfelt thanks to the people and country!

From Sweden
Hello, Anders from Sweden here. Have seen Norway, Finland and Iceland but no one from Sweden. (Denmark?) I paste my "ford truck experience" from another thread that I started earlier.
About a week and a half ago I stumbled on a Ford Econoline E-150 1988 and the price was right so now, I own that truck! :-)
I have been looking for a Van/Truck for some years and been fond of the slightly "larger" look of the Ford. Chevy and Dodge are more common here in Sweden and I was on my way to look at a Dodge when I only an hour before leaving home found the ad for "my" truck. I was no 2 on the list and after I had seen the very sad appearance of the Dodge I was glad to hear that No 1 had left without any deal!
So, after a little more than a week I am stating to get familiarised with my new car and I like it...
Things to do on my car are:
- check what engine I have (so far I'm content with the sound...
)
- find the thermostat to fix the temp gauge (not moving) probably a loose wire somewhere.
- try to find where the slight oil drips below the car comes from... (top side of engine)
- New tires
- paint job
My car has low mileage and is in general good condition bit needs some fine "adjustments" to be "as new"...
Regards,
Anders Östlund, Sweden

Hej Anders, och välkommen till FTE!
What part of Sweden do you live in? I'm glad for you that you made the right choice, you'll be much happier with the Ford.
Which engine does it have?

Some of my fondest memories or of the time I lived in Sweden, and I still keep in touch with my oldest friend, Ulf, who I've known since I was 15. I lived in the north, in a small town called Långsele.

oh, nothing political in case your wondering, i am a big gun enthusiats(sp?) and the ak47 is my fav, not because of some lame cool sort of way, just because of the design. i actually hardly ever shoot, just like taking apart and looking and reading about guns.
plus my wife is russian so kind of entangled in her family which has a strong military history in it, so it gives me that much more meaning, sort of sentimental.
la viva france, we went to paris while i was stationed in london, we loved it!
Ahhh, some Swedish! Tack så mycket!
I live in Habo, a small village outside Jönköping (I hope our special chars come throught OK...). I have about 1,5 hrs drive to Gothemburg and 3 hrs to Stockholm and Malmö. Långsele is faaar away... ;-)
I will have to read the manufacturers plate to find out what motor I have... It sounds big and 8-cyl... :-)
