Remote Starter
Looks interesting, and they have a model that can "upgrade" factory remote system.
I found several other remote start systems including the "Ford Gold" (which is made by Code Alarm) and the Cool Start system is the only one that says it has turbo timer mode.
Lots of impressive features, and the OEM upgrade system has MSRP of only $99.95 however you are limited to the range of the OEM keyfob.

Just go with a reputable shop that has the resources to pay if they cause damage.
Many aftermarket systems have more (and better) features than the factory system and cost less. I am looking at a Python P881ALR that costs 499 installed at Car Toys. It has a remote start (with delay for glow plugs) and a turbo cool down. It also pages you if anyone messes with the truck. The key fob has an lcd display of the vehicle that tells you what sensor is triggered. It also shows puffs of smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe when the remote start function has started the truck. I have not decided if I need an alarm or a remote starter yet, but if I get one, it will probably be the Python. Dealer wanted 699 for the factory remote start.
I cetainly understand wanting to go with a factory system to avoid finger pointing, though. I just hate paying their prices for less product.
It should be www.crimestopper.com ( no "s" after the stopper )
Sorry for the confusion.

Wow, they are proud of that one then....
I got the ford gold remote & installation for about $450... from the dealer
The warranty isn't "voided" by installing a third party remote starter. It's just that Ford won't pay for damage caused by components from other knucklehead companies. Sounds reasonable to me.
I'm getting the remote starter, and the only thing "out the window" will be me getting ready to leave while my truck warms up.
