Tilt wheel adjuster
2004 4x2 supercrew XLT 5.4 L
twice now the lever has fallen out into my hand when trying to move the wheel. the first time the dealer said it was fixed for good, just a week ago. it is the oddest lever i have seen, i think it is a CHEAP idea. i have a 2004 F-350 4x4 and love the tilt lever on it, easy to find with out taking your eyes off the road, the rangers even have the safer version.
What was Ford thinking!

Same thing happened to me. I use the tilt every time getting in and out and about once a week I pull the lever forward to keep it tight on the wedge that it slides on. The least that Ford could have done would be to put a set screw in it. I still love this truck more than anything else that I have owned though.
