How to hook up 3 speaker setup?
I want to put two speakers in back, but only one in the front (so I can put it in the center of the dash) I have the stock 86 F150 radio. It has wires for front left, front right, rear left, and rear right. I've got the back, but how do I wire the front speaker to have the balance and all work correctly? Do I just pick front left or right, or do I hook them together and then hook that to the speaker? Thanks!

There will be no "stereo sound" in the front if you only have one speaker, so balance would not work in front, in the back you can change it from right to left, but on the front you will hear no difference. If you are wanting only one speaker on the front, and change the front from stereo to mono, take the positive speaker lead from FL and run that to the wire that will be in the + space on the speaker, then from the HU take the FR negative lead, and run that wire to the wire that will power the speaker and plug it into the - on the front speaker, this would have taken the front from stereo to mono, on front only, and now you can use the fade, and fade from front speaker to rear speakers

Ok, just hook it up as the left front. And if I turn the balance from left to right, it won't affect the front speaker at all, just the rears? That's what I want. I don't want the front speaker to go low if I turn balance to the right.
