Yea, 36 hour shift....crazy aint it.
2000hrs Saturday till 0800hrs Monday I've manage a few 10-20 minute naps between calls. I did get to go home and get a change of clothes and a toothbrush. Yea, my wife was thrilled. How I see it, Admin screwed up...and that leaves us to fix it. Wait till the Ops Mngr finds out in the morning......he's gonna throw stuff. I'm here helpin out to fix the problem. So I wont be caught in the ringer......for real, there is no one else.
sucks.....its cash money......and it gets me a lot of lateral movement when I screw up.
Editied a bunch in up above..........yea.....its not easy, but I'm young today.....tomorrows another story. Oh yea, and back in Monday 2000-0800. So 36 on, 12 off, 12 on.
Got me a fat multi-vitamin, a can of coffee for tonight.....and a pack of tums.
Oh, and a new candy bar study for tonight........stuffs gonna make me fat.
The big secret to handling hours like that in a row.....no sugar. Lots of water. Sugar raises and drops you. Water keeps you system going. I have to drink the coffee incase I crash out.....without it I wouldnt be able to hear the phones or radios. I'd just be in a coma.
I have been looking for the link to the US time site for a while - my last windows machine had it, but when it fried I lost it. I have one of the NIST clocks... It ruins the casual approach to life - I know, to the microsecond, what time it is I never need to know that - the accuracy is redundant on me - I am too laid back to care about the nano seconds, as they pass..
