I am going to install 1.6 scorpion pedestall mount roller rockers on a set of (79) 351w heads, the cam is a max lift of 500 w/1.6s, problem is, do I use or can I use the stock lenght pushrods or do I have to figure for different ones? And if thats the case does anyone know what the lenght would be. Thanks a bunch
Thats a good question, I thought the 79 used rail type rockers with press in studs vs the pedastel mount.
Guess you know what you have, the stock pushrods should work, just order or purchase a set of pushrods for your year heads/engine size at your local autoparts store, if they don't look right when you install them, clean them and return them. Then its time to break out a tool and determine the correct length you need but oem should work.
