autozone heads
ok i was just cruisin through the message board and read this really interesting one about autozone having heads(they even had the autozone part #'s!) c8ve or someting for like 200 bucks each including the $50 core charge and i went to the autozone site to check it out.. and can't find it and stupid me closed the fte message that had it and now ive spent the last 2 hours reading every article that looks like its it and can't find it!!!! im goin crazy! can some one please help me out?

A word of caution! Don't buy any remanufactured heads, long blocks, or short blocks from Auto Zone. I use to work there and they are trash! They use several diffrent manufactures depending on the region you live in. The only decent engine they sell is a "Recon" Engine called "Series II". Other than that stay away from those. I have seen many Reman heads that come in and they are just usually repaired, very rarely remanufactured. Cracks welded and pinned, over decking, valve seats that are not all cut the same so you have diffrent compression rates in each cylinder. Diffrent size valves. Many times we can put a straight edge across the tops of the valve stems and it looks like a roller coaster. Be careful!
