C-6 questions

Well, here goes... I am converting a 1994 Lightning to a c-6 transmission with a manual reverse valve body.
I got a tranny crossmember from a bronco for a c-6. my question is, does the c-6 tranny mount bolt directly to the cross member or is there another piece that bolts to the cross member that the mount bolts to?
on my E4OD there was another piece that would raise the tranny up about 1.5". should I use this for the c-6 also?
Thanks!
Jody

yes there should be a rubber mount that mounts to the tranny then to the cross member.

I have the tranny mount, the rubber piece, but on my e4od there was another metal piece bolted to the cross member that raised the mount like 1.5".
check out the last picture in this link.

My C6 just sits on the cross member or the mount does. There is no other piece like your E4OD cross member.

I would sat that you are missing a mount. My 79 4x4 has a bracket that is between the crossmember & trans mount. It is steel & about 1.5" high.
