So I just want to post for the record that I did try this in the Super Duty forum under the Limited Slip thread, but no one came by or no one knew. So hopefully this thread will remain for a little bit. Well I have a 03' F-350 6.0 SC LB SRW 4x4 Lariat. My question is about LS. I can't remember if I ordered it or not, and I can't find my invoice. Either way that's not the question. My question is this...
The other day this guy I know with a duraless said that he has way more power than I did. After all the laughing and stomach holding was done with, I told him I bet his dmax couldn't smoke 38's stock like my 6.0. He didn't believe me, so I proved him wrong. I laid a good 25f'x15.5" solid black line. Hold on let me get my shades... For some reason only one tire spun and the other just sat there after the first few inches. I was on asphalt, it was dry, and I was driving straight. So does this mean I have ls? Or does this mean I don't.. or does this mean I need to take it to the dealer and have whatever fixed??
You could have a limited slip they don't work very good. To find out you can jack up rear of truck both tires off the ground( put your parking brake on!! ) and put truck in neutral and both tires should spin the same way if it's a ls or one will spin forward and the other tire backwards. Or you can crawl under the truck and read the tag on rear cover should read somethimg like this if you have 3.73 and ls 3.73 LS. Hope this helps, just one more word DETROIT LOCKER you need this along with some 4.88 's if your running 38's.
