My heater is constantly giving off heat. I replaced the heater control valve, and checked the control cable positions;no difference. Would putting the control valve on the hose intake to the heater core instead of the discharge side make a difference?
i thought it was supposed to be on the intake side because if not the heated water will go through the core and just stop when it hits the valve. maybe im wrong though??
why not try just bypassing the heater core and see if that fixes your problem? if it does i would move the valve to the inlet side of the heater and while its out make sure the valve is closing fully.
