I am trying to convert my 72 F100 to power brakes. I got the bracket and a core from a donor F250. Problem is, the rebuilt I got has the brake lines from the mc on the left instead on of the right, which is where they are on my existing non booster set up.
How difficult is it to bend the brake lines so they route to the left side? Or, are there other options?
If there is enough slack in the "coils" then just move it to the other side. Be care and DON'T kink the lines. Make the bends very gradual or you'll be putting new lines on it. Unless the truck is very rusty, the lines should be in good enough shape to do this.
hey all
Im a proponent of just getting the new stuff if u have to modify the old stuff to make it work. Brake line is cheap for *** security to sto when u need to. get new stuuf and bend "gradually" to fit your needs!!!!
I did steel braided lines with 90degree fittings on em then outta the MC then ziptied them to the inner fender. Looks cleaner than the coiled loopty loop brake lines.
