i got a 94 F150 inline 6 with a mazada five speed and 133000k miles that bucks when you hold her at any RPM in any gear timing is good, new plugs wires cap rotor feul filter new injectors, new EGR valve and air pump. also first through third gear you can get up on her and she's got all the power i could want 4th and 5th i she coughs sputters and sounds like a deisel and has absolutly no power. also i got about 4 inches of slop in the steering and something rattling everytime i hit a bump in the road, and a slight bump in the brake pedal 3 ford dealerships and pretty much rebuilding the front end(radius arm bushings, ball joints, wheel bearings, rotors, brakes, those little clips that hold the caliber in place, reseating the springs on their perches, new perches) have done nothing but add to the frustration PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
Well, first, this guy you bought it off of is wrong....they did not sell bucking F-150s in 94' (evidently that was left off the options list that year...ha kidding.).
Have your computer codes checked and see if you have any error codes first.
To all users, please title threads that accurately depict your subject
i orignally titled this post as "HELP!!* which is what i need computer isn't throwing any codes and by my guess ain't really doin much of anything anyway to rip it out and hardwire it? what i wouldn't give for a nice easy to adjust edelbrock 4 barrel right now. would the bucking be cause by any of the emmesions crap (smog pump, charcol can, egr valve etc....) that ford put on there for some unknown reason?
feul pressure is good off both tanks had a "small" spill when i changed the feul filter and my roommate wanted the cd out of the player. yeah when a doctor looks at you and says "and thats why we don't play with gasoline" it's not a good day. nuff said moving on
does it do it going up a hill? mine does it in 1st and a bit in 2nd but not up a hill and my personal analysis is the tranny was built for a car (t-bird and ranger from what i hear) so its proably wearing out and the play in the gears is causing the bucking. imo. gl.
not to sound old fashioned but did you all check your timing?? bucking could be a hammered valve ? or could be water in fuel fords can be very picky on there gas, I found that out the hard way like you replacing everything else? id put some iso heat in the tank and try getting gas somwhere else!! It could be a cheap fix, or not but dont knock it tell you try it.
Hey, Mustang, where did the search feature go? I don't know what to do with myself I'm so confused. It got... deleted or something? Am I on probation for my potty mouth? if so, I'm sorry, but seriously, where'd it go?
