Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
I sure would love to search for stuff, but it always says the "server load is too high and has been disabled for non-Club FTE members".

P.S. I am a ClubFTE member and I never get that message.
I said before, A page need be created for each particular truck catagory, that posts accumulated data. ie Shop Tech info , where to get parts (either stock or aftermarketed). If I thought this Forum could replace the need for purchasing Shop manuals and give aftermarket tech, i'd join. But I dont feel that way.Instead, I just get the impression there are ALOT of us buried in techical difficulties. I have stopped MY searching for help, I am waiting for it to find me. No one ever contacts me with helpful info about my truck. And I cant seem to find it on my own here. Waiting to hear from you, reb.

I started using the internet in 1994 for both business and personal reasons, and have witnessed phenominal growth in that time.
The most awesome website(s) I have encountered over the years are Ford Truck related, and I could not overemphasize how helpful they have been in the taming of my 1980 F-100 that sat in a field for 7 years before I bought it in March 2003.
We suffered a financial tragedy 2 years ago, and money was tight. I had few options when it came to getting this beast back on the road. Most problems were basic in nature, but sitting in the field so long without even turning over took its toll. The things I had to deal with were not found in books or repair manuals - I needed the voice of experience.
Man, did these folks come through for me. The responses I received were always immediate, many per topic, extremely helpful and thorough, and included photos, text excerpts - you name it ! Looking back, the 50,000 kilometers I have logged in the 15 month period would simply not have been possible without the contributions of individuals through organizations such as Ford Truck Enthusiasts.
Frankly, I don't see why you couldn't just sit there and watch suggestion after suggestion pile up over time ! You would, of course, have to write an interesting enough post to spark such an inflow of information, but that is all that would be required. Remember, this site has tens of thousands of active members who enjoy circulating info or supporting a worthwhile cause.......
I recall an applicable piece of wisdom: whenever you are dissatisfied with your rewards in life, all you need to do is increase your contributions. Think "give" as often as "get", and your suggestion box will overflow with exciting new ideas !
Just thought I'd try the "old two birds with one stone trick": a vote of confidence in Ford websites as well as sincere thanks to their members for all the help and support they have provided.
Good luck in your surfin' and browsin' adventures !

I may not need to be told how to turn a wrench, but I have been asking for the "secret" knowledge to unlock the mysteries of a said truck , forever. I have 4 FORDS in my family and they have yet to bennefit from this forum. I would expect this forum to have a SPECIFIC knowledge base area away from postings, that could always tell me the timing of an engine or the measurements of somthing as well as the torque settings for somthing. Instead i have to post my dumb questions and wait to get the right answer from one of you friendlies. I appreciate you friendlies believe me.
But i dont want to have to constantly post a simple question to get suggestions from you. I should be able to "hang my hat" in a specific area of truck forum, and learn somthing new everyday about what people just like me are experiencing with thier "same" trucks. Example : If i could post my year make and model truck once, and get viewers to read the concerns i have for keeping it healthy, then i wouldnt have to seek for the unknown answers to the unknown questions. How do i know what is best for my FORD after all ? See, I am guessing at the right question to ask all the time. If i just do it my self, i can learn just as easily. If i break it i fix it. I just want to know what people who have the same truck as me have been up to. Hop Ups, Prevention, Quick Fixs, and Schematics for "my specific truck" are all why i come here. When i posted MY NEW TRUCK, and stated that i knew nothing about it , noone gave me any real help with finding the person who has the same truck and is willing to share schematics or any data with me. So i browse, and browse, hoping to stumble upon my other 1985 F-250 diesel dually owner who has the superior knowledge and is willing to GIVE it to me. Meantime, if i could just get a clue about the fuel delivery system and how to check it for trouble, i'd be ahead somewhat. It still runs even though it smokes and is hard starting. I can wait till it breaks and then really learn how to fix it. If it aint broke I dont fix it. I'll be sure to post the next breakdown as well, and probly fix it before i can read how to here.
3 things I am always looking for.1 I need pics or schematics from you all. 2 I need aftermarket "HOP UP"manufactures or where to get stock parts. 3 I might need specific technical data from you all. Thank you in advance for sharing...
