I love my SCREW! Problem is the door lock automatically (which I like) and stay locked until I open the drivers door from the interior handle. I then get out of my truck and put my keys in my pocket. Next I try to open the rear door to get my bag and find the rear door is locked. My hands are usually full by now and I have to put something down to get my keys back out to unlock the rear door or open the drivers door again to hit the door panel button.
My old car would unlock all doors when the ignition was shut off. This truck does not hit the unlock, only unlocks the drivers door because the handle was pulled. I reviewed the owners manual and there was nothing regarding programming this function. I was hoping that someone with Ford tech access might know if this was possible and if so what the proceedure was.
It is covered in the owner's manual. I had the same feelings, I was able to disable that feature. Look in the manual on page 91 under "Deactivating/activating autolock" which refers back to the procedure on page 86 "Deactivating/activating power door lock disable feature"
This didn't sound like what I wanted to do but it does work.
Sorry. I reread your message. You want autolock enabled and then want to program the system so that all the doors unlock when you open the drivers door?
I hear ya bro. I also have a Lariat screw and totally wish the doors would auto UNlock. I've been in vehicles where the doors would unlock when the gear shift was put into park.
This is particularly annoying when someone is riding back there and wants out before I can unlock all the doors.
2004 mountaineer is the same way. it is very annoying. What about having to hit the unlock twice on the remote to unlock all doors. Anyone have a fix for this either??? My Jeep had a setting for both features. I wish Ford did.
I have the same problem as you and let me tell you how I cured it.
I put a post-a-note on the drivers armrest to "Unlock Doors." The experts in human behavior say that if you do a task over and over again for 21 days, it will become habit.
So, that's what I did and it works. I tossed the note and now everytime I grab the door handle I hit the unlock button - problem solved.
In that case, Ford should make some special size post-its available to stick on the armrest. They could sell this along with the special sized Kleenex!
get your self a upgrade alarm on your keyless entry system.. your wish will come true co'z mine did..you will have the options on unlocking the doors all at the same time...and lock all the same time, even auto arm features (enabling and diabling it)... got it installed from ford.... make sure you tell them just an upgrade.....if you want and if you have a keyless entry pad, you can also use that to arm and disarm your vehicle...the best of all is you use the same remote that you have now....the system is called Karr security upgrade.... they installed mine within an hour.....some dealers are liars, they told me before that they need to program it and they will charge me 55 dollars an hour for 8 hours plus the equipment..... mine was installed in san diego for less than 400.
Is there a way to program the locks to unluck all of the doors when put in park or with only hit of the button on the fob? Could not find anything in manual on it. Thanks

LOL, funny stuff. The kleenex are available at most grocery stores though.
