Automatic transmission shifter linkage adjustment
My shift linkage on my 99 Ranger automatic is out of adjustment. Everything works normally but the detents on the column shifter are not matching the appropriate gear. Is there a means of adjustment? Thanks! Joe

take the bottom panel off the dash where your knees are..there is a little thin wire that goes thru a black thumb wheel that loops around the steering column..try spinning the wheel and adjusting it..it's possible the plastic feed broke and is causing slack..good luck.
