thank you for getting back to me on this , i dont want to go the toyota conversion only to find out that i will not be happy . i think i will look into other alternatives. thanks again.

toyota steering box

I put an 82 gear box on my f100. I had a bracket made by a friend, and it worked out great. ites made up of aluminum. its mounted on the inside of the rail and i had to cut out a rail for the brake line, and grind a little off of the pitman arm because one othe bolts rubbed, but it seems to be ok. i used the existing holes on the rail where the other box was mounted. heres the dimensions of my bracket. i'll try to get pics soon.The steering column, I used the toyota bottom plate and the shaft(bottom) and had it welded to the ford column(top), so i could use the ford wheel. i also used the the inner steering shaft, the toyotas was a little short so i had to take the pins out and extend the shaft then put new pins back in, but everything works. looks like i'll have to get back to you with the measurements on that bracket. miamipammy
