I get these codes 21 say its for engine cooling temp out of range (could this affect cold start by stumbling the engine in the first 5 seconds of starting?)
secondly code 41 R engine running says system running lean could this be affected by the code 21? or injector leaking in the combustion chambers that makes a little black and blue smoke sometimes when starting but not all the time like a valve seal...Thanks
Ok I change O2 sensor and code 41 dissapear tomoorow I'll change collant sensor but whe I put on the code reader again after replacing the o2 I get a code 46 for air thermactor circuit fault bypass can someone tell me How to fix this problem thanks in advance
On the drivers side valve cover there is a bracket with 3 solenoids on it, the square ones are for the thermactor (AIR) system. Make sure they are all plugged in and working.
Pfogle I hear what you say because the other day I oppened the engine cover and check the air bypas valve by sucking air from the little tube and it was working with engine running i check the outpout of the thermactor if air blown out Ok for that after that I put back hose on the thing and vacuum hose on top but no output air so I gigle connectors where are the connector you told me and outpout was air was shooting well so code 46 says it faulty circuit could be in those connection a bad wire with engine vibration could be the problem? If its right I'm going to check for loose connection hummmmmmm I,m getting close now I think with help it helps
It could just be a dirty connector, spray them with some tv tuner cleaner (about $5 at radio shack). Then put some dielectric grease in the connector to keep moisture out.
Well I'Lm happy today the van is top shape I change the cooling temp sensor and code 21 is gone no more problem at cold start dammm....code 41 dissapear to by changing th O2 whoooooooooooooooo thanks for your help Pfogle
