1991 F150 coolant problem..

Have the 300 I6. Seems to have an internal coolant loss problem. If I put coolant/water in the resevoir, it disappears after driving. I have also noticed after turning the truck off I can hear what sounds like water running/gurgling. Checked the oil and it doesn't seem to be going there. What could be the cause of this. The system does need flushed and I going to try to do that tomorrow.

Any suggestion/ideas??

is it being burned? on a 300 there isnt really anywhere for it to go besides the oil or being burnt unlike a bent 8...check around the back to see if theres stains that the coolant may be coming out the back due to a head gasket and vaporizing...other then that, im lost...

Well things have gotten worse as usual. Went to flush out system and go ahead and put in a new t-stat while I was at it. The t-stat housing into 2 pieces as I was tightening the 2nd bolt putting it back on. What a pain. I didn't realize it had broke at first. When I filled the radiator back up it looked like I had antifreeze dripping from the bottom of the crank. Is that possible? Tried to see if it was leaking from above, but couldn't tell. Don't know if it was from where the housing cracked or not. Guess I will find out tomorrow.
