Thank you for the link! Man, I get so tired of a lot of these mistakes listed. My personal pet peeve is "orientated" vs "orient". When I was a kid it was widely understood to be poor usage, now I hear tv commentators using it!
Especially useful was the note on the home page that noted that a dictionary only charts usage, and that inclusion of a word in a dictionary does NOT indicate proper usage.
Thankfully, I am okie dokie with the american version of the english language. Cost money to learn stuff right ya know.
If need be, I can articulate beyond my means.....otherwise, I live in South Central Texas.......if I speak correctly...it goes poorly.
Oh yay, more ammo for when I need to c orrect my English major of a girlfriend in her use of words , especially in how to properly pronounce accessory.
