Just wondering what you people spend a week on groceries. I probably average about $50 or so per week (Canadian $). But I probably spend around $60-70 a week on eat out food!
2 growing kids & wife and me plus 3 cats and one dog and five fish $120 to $150 a week at hyvee then maybe 40 bucks at aldis for staple items, then 20 bucks at the other place for milk pop snacks etc. then 40 bucks at gas station for smokes
I decided a long time ago that if I quit watching how much money sent to the grocer......I'd live longer. Not sure of its working.....but I worry less.
130 Can$/week for me, my g/f, two dogs and six cats... includes beer. i posted a rant here somewhere about how much she spends on food and since i started cutting coupons and hunting sales with her we're doing a lot better
but she she's an amateur gourmet and you get what you pay for
today she made double chocolate muffins to put as snacks in my lunch... for desert she gave me ice cream with a homemade strawberry sauce made with fresh strawberries (yum!)
yesterday was lasagna (homemade)
tuesday rice and curry chicken vegetable stir fry
monday, caneloni (again with the spinach and special cheese how i like it)
lot of steak, porkchops, usually two vegetable on the side
Usually $100 every week. About once a month we spend $200 - $250 to restock the little things, like porridge, or batteries, or tooth paste. Stuff like that.
We spend $300-400 at Wal-mart a month for groceries. I can't give a per week price since we go to the store every few days. Thats for 2 adults, 2 teenaged boys and my pupper and cat.
porridge - I havn't heard that word in a long time! Down here in America it's called oatmeal. I spend about $100/week for me, wife, kid, beagle, 12 fish and a hamster.
