Fuel dilution of the crankcase oil is not a good thing!

The effects of fuel in the crankcase oil is very negative as far as the dilution of lubricity of any oil, and regardless of the source of entry of fuel into crankcase lubricants as a dilution source ....this is not a good thing!

The only worse thing is water in the crankcase oil.

Has nothing to do with engine break-in!
With HEUI there is always going to be SOME fuel in the oil; it is impossible to seal the interals of the injectors perfectly.

Blowbuy and fuel in the oil is normal during break in. There should be little or none after break in but it is normal for break in. I dont know if youve ever noticed it or not, but a broken in engine has more power then a brand new one and also is more efficent.

My fuel % was 1.5% on my second oil at 7500 miles. I had changed the original oil at 3800. And I have the infamous C94 injectors. At 11,000 miles the fuel % was less than .5%. At 20,000 miles the fuel % was still less than .5%. I imagine it might have been higher on the original oil had I had it analyzed. Give it some time and get it analyzed at the next oil change unless you see an increase in oil level or smell diesel in your oil.

An easy way to see if there is excess fuel in the oil is to take a white paper towel, pull your oil dipstick, place a drop of oil on the paper towel. If you have a lot of fuel in the oil, you will see a much lighter ring around the oil spot on the paper towel.
