Talking New Garage!

Woo, I have a big whopping new garage! It's big enough for my car and pickup, with room for lotsa extra stuff. Here's, some more pictures of it, at the bottom of the page. Soon I can get back to the truck (after I finish accessorizing the garage)!

Jeff,

I always tell my wife the garage is the most important and versitile part of the house. You can eat and sleep in the garage but you can't tear apart an engine or paint a truck in the living room or kitchen, although, I do know someone who did bring his engine into his living room to work on it.

Congrats on the new work space! Amazing what a garage does for a fellow's motivation. The old one was cute with a sort of quaint charm. Model T size I bet. One place I lived had a similar garage - I could drive my truck inside, but couldn't open the doors I built a 24x24 there and then sold the place.

I've been trying to get my present garage/shop 'winterized' so I can extend my project time to more than one season. Might actually get it done this fall.

Looks great, it really helps to have a warm and dry place to work (and play). I have a 1 1/2 car garage, set up nice to work on projects, and keep my motorcycle, but nooo way my truck is ever going to fit in there... Some day.. Enjoy the new space!

Congrats on your new "home"!

I met a guy who built a 40' x 120' pre-engineered metal building on his ranch, fully insulated and lighted. He had 6 cars in there, an RV, a large boat, motorcycles, tractors, you name it. Fully wired for 220V welders, compressed air distribution, man it was De-luxe! I'd give body parts for a set-up like that! Put a fridge and stove in it and I'd need nothing else...

The old garage was large enough for my car, but just barely. The Tank was too big for it in every dimension. I've bought some cabinets to put in there (from Home Depot), so that'll keep me busy this weekend!
