Consider yourself's lucky,
$2.14 average here in WA. (the state.) Shop around, you might find $2.09, but what are you getting. (Old fuel?)
Besides, at 15 & 19 mpg. I think we still have the gassers beat.
Remember, We didn't buy these things for fuel milage, we bought them for fast fun!
Driving from Buffalo to Atlanta, the $2 price was pretty consistent until we left WV. The best prices we saw were in VA (along 81) for $1.75 and near near Atlanta (on 443) also for $1.75. Of course, near Buffalo is Smokin' Joes which is selling for $1.79 ... but you have to know where to find that.
$1.74-$1.79 per gallon here in MS, with regular grade gas going for $1.67-$1.71 per gallon. When I bought my truck in April diesel was $1.45 per gallon. It was still only $1.65 per gallon when regular gas got up to $1.96 per gallon. What gives, why is diesel more than gasoline now? It ****es me off every time I pull up to the pump to know that diesel is cheaper to produce, yet they charge me more for it than gas, especially when I know how much cheaer it was 3 months ago.
I paid $1.85/gal here in NW Illinois for diesel, while gas was $1.69 for the cheap stuff. Ironic that about 4-6 weeks ago gas was over $2.00/gal while I was buying Diesel @ $1.65/ gal. Oh well, I'd rather be driving the 6.0 and paying more right now than having a gasser!
