Anyone out there have this happen to them. When I turn my wheel I sometimes get a poping nois. It only happens once wile the wheel is turned and it sounds like it is the left side. Any ideas guys. Thanks Brandon
Just a few things you might check:
1) make sure 3 bolts are tight on streering box where it bolts to frame.
2) have someone turn steering wheel back and forth while you look for bad tie rod ends.
3) make sure upper trac bar bracket is tight. (2 bolts under frame below steering box.
4)Jack up front end and check for bad ball joints.
5) Lastly check aft end of front leaf spring pack for worn plastic shim between leafs. These are notorious for failure. I have replaced mine twice, but usually this causes a severe squeeking noise. Good luck!
With tires about 2 inches off the ground, use a piece of pipe or something rigid and stick it under the tire. Have someone lift up and down while you watch the ball joint for movement. That's how I've done it. Any one else have another way?
