Here's what happened to me. #6 glow plug wire shorted out on the pushrod. Pictures included.

Mine said "glow plug ground fault" eventually started to miss and it turned out to be a loose connector inside the valve cover that the dealer replaced and wire clipped for future, they also charged me $375. it could also be the glow plug relay/module (depending on whether you have California emissions or not) have it scanned.
