i have an '01 powerstroke and yesterday it was having an electrical problem. I slammed on the brakes to avoid someone and all power to the intrument cluster was lost.
It is pretty random on when it happens but it seems to happen with the turn signals are used or head light switch.
is this a ground issue? if so, where should i look for the ground wire?
I have a problem with my headlight switch as well... I haven't spent much time with it yet Mostly cause they still work. But mine are now out alltogether except for the Fog light part. Anyone have any suggestions on this?
... all power to the intrument cluster was lost.....
Meaning that the gauges aren't working? I know that on my 02, the gauges, radio circuit, power windows, and the dome light circuit are all powered off of the same fuse. I believe the fuse powers up the individual relays.
