Any Eagle Scouts here

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 12-Mar-02 AT 10:14 PM (EST)]Yep. Eagle Scout. I received it in January 1976. I was also a member of the OA (lowest too!) I am a minister now and in my church we have Royal Rangers which is a lot like scouting. Good things for kids.

Any Eagle Scouts here

Way to go great job on your hard work and dedication. I myself only made it to life. My wife is involved with the daughters Girl Scout troop. My brother’s son just has his project to complete and he will be one. I think the scouts are great and everyone should devote some time to our future leaders and mentors. Even though I have a daughter I was an assistant BS leader in PA and am now looking for a troop to help hear in North Texas. Everyone please remember that when you see that Girl Scout or Boy Scout selling something at the store or where ever, they are working hard to raise money for their troops. Even if you are not interested in what they are selling please at least give them the change out of you pockets as a donation, a little cash can go a long way to help our youth. In the troop my wife is with they have 3 kids that cant afford the dues to stay in Scouts. We as the adults have made sure that these children can stay active and be part of this great organization. If not for donations and the girl’s hard work selling cookies and other fund raising events these children would not be able to do the fun stuff the other girls do. I does take a lot of time to commit to helping with scouts so if you don’t have the time please help them with financial support at least. I have always thought of it this way that $10.00 I just spent may just keep one kid from going the wrong way and end up being supported by the state for the rest of there life. I also am proud to say that our girl’s have a nice 99 F350 that has burned many a tank of fuel to help them out (plus I get to drive my truck). Sorry for the long post but I feel strongly that scouting and God can make a big difference in our children’s life and we as adults have to keep both of them alive, fun and supported. Please take the time today it can and will save a life tomorrow or the next day. Just think a little money for a life of a child; I really think that is nothing for any of us to give.

Congrats!!! All that hard work paid off. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't in scouting when I was young. My son is now a Wolf and my wife is a den leader. I am currently the Pack Committee Chairman (just had a meeting last night as a matter of fact) and am now seeing all the things I missed as a kid. It's a great program that prepares you in many ways for the future. I plan to stay in it with my son and hopefully see him an Eagle some day.

Great job Chase!

Kevin K.
