The preparedness tread got me thinking, and now i wanna know how many Boy Scouts or even Eagle Scouts we have here. I had my Eagle review in May , and still involved as a leader. I hope im not the only one.

Congratulations on your Eagle rank. I know how hard you worked for it.
I made the rank of Star. I wish now that I had stuck with Scouting and went on to make Eagle. Because today the other activities I did instead, don't mean near as much to me as Scouting.
More recentley, I was committe chairman for my son's cub pack.
Dennis: The Queen Scout's, really? Baden Powell who founded the Boy Scouts was British and brought scouting to the US. I would have thought the same scouting program would be in Canada.
Hey Chase, Congratulations! That’s quite an accomplishment that takes years to achieve. Wish I had stuck to it when I was in, only made it to Star. Do they still have the same ranks? We were playing “Survivor” way back then. Still use the skills acquired from those years, invaluable life training. What was the motto, Be Prepared! Congratulations again!

In the US scouting has a similar program called "Explorers". (Perhaps because it's coed). LOL! They use the term 'Post' instead of 'Troop'. They could be sponsored by any church or organization, but most commonly were sponsored by local law enforcement. The Post members participated in ride-alongs and did community service similar to what is required for Eagle or Queen.
Congrats on your eagle. I recieved mine almost 10 years ago and also got a bronze palm. I'm glad I stuck with it alot of companys I have interviewed with see that on my resume and tell me that they really like it when people devote part of their life to acomplishing a goal. Stay with the program I haven't been involved for quite a while.
I am an eagle scout i had my board of review 11/24/00 i did a 30 foot foot bridge for my project

Hey 79F2504X4, welcome to the club! I received my Eagle in the Fall of 1999 and I'm glad I stuck with it. It's a great honor! Unfortunately my troop disbanded not long after I received my award so I haven't had the opportunity to help out as a leader. I hope to become involved in the future, though.
Thanks ya'll, as a matter of fact my dad is the scoutmaster of our troop and he took our troop to the Baden Powell celebration in Monteray Mexico last weekend for the celebration of his birthday. I wanted to go but I had to be back at school early on sunday to study. I have been a few times before its really neat.

Hello, congratulations on your Eagle Scout rank!
I am the leader of my 7 year olds cub scout wolf den, 8 little guys can be a handful to keep in line.
At our blue and gold banquet last week, we had a boy who is about to reach Eagle rank, come and talk to our wolfs about the Pinewood derby.
You know those boys sat in front of him and listened, and I could tell they really were looking up to this big guy.
Scouting is about passing on good values, experience, morals to the adults of tomorrow.

Just want to start off by saying Howdy to everyone here, I just joined this FTE board today. I was going through the posts trying to get a little more familiar with everything and came across this thread. I'm an Eagle Scout as well, Oct. 14, 1981, I was also a 'Brotherhood' member in the 'Order of the Arrow'.
It's a great accomplishment Chase, Congratulations! It takes a lot of hard work and determination to stick with it and reach that level.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Mar-02 AT 00:38 AM (EST)]Ya, I'm an Eagle Scout. Got it in March of 2000. I didn't get any Palms, but at least i got the Eagle!! It looks good on job resumes! Laterz!! I'm also a member of the Order of the Arrow, but i don't remember which order. hahaha. It was the lowest one...the NeWbS of the Order. oh well. Laterz!!
