Don't know exactly what you're looking for, but I slap together a small heavy pallet and suspend the engine over the pallet, almost touching. Then I use whatever width 2X lumber I need to clear the height of the oil pan and nail and brace it to the pallet on both sides of the pan. Sometimes notches must be made to clear oil tubes and such, but this is very sturdy and looks a heck of alot better than just setting it on the floor and makes for easy transport.
I rented a stand that bolts to the bellhousing. You can spin the motor for easy access to the bottom. It was $35 a week. I think you can buy them for less than $100.
The engine cradle bolts to the motor mounts and allows you to place or move it along the floor. You will probably have to modify one for the FE. I don't have any specific measurements, but check the width on a small block one between the bads and see if your FE will drop in. A little extra steel plate and some weld will fix you up. Of course you can always use an extra truck tire and drop the oil pan into the center
Yeah, I made a really simple a remarkably sturdy one out a couple of pieces of wood and some casters - Should have used larger casters. I think I might have to use Mike G's suggestiong and modify the small block one. Not what I want to do but that happens more often then not.
Try building one out of the bottom of a shopping cart. You'd be surprised how sturdy they are. I've had a 460 with a C6 sitting on one & it survived just fine.

I like the shopping cart ideas, any stores preferred over others
You can also go with a cradle for a big block, I would think that may require just drilling a few new holes in the plate. Unfortunately I have no experience with these or seen one first hand. Who knows, depending on the manufaturer, they may be set up for the FE already...
