Broken hub?
well i have a new problem for the forum. My front hub(s) is acting like its locked but i know i unlocked them. My vehicle is also swerving(got pulled over by VA state police for possible DUI) and on turns a loud thud comes from under. havent had this problem before so i dont know whats going on or what to do.
any help is appreciated. O btw if the hub is broken would that kill my gas mileage?

Broken hub?
I started seeing this with the hubs on mine, when I did the wheel bearings recently, I poured ATF into the hub (seen this suggested a few places), switched the hub a few times, and let it soak to clean and lube the hub. Poured the ATF out and installed, and it seems to have loosened up the mechanism. May be worth trying.

First id check your breaks sounds like a prob i had where the break pads wore out (they didnt give the squeel as indecated) the next time i hit my breaks a bang then really soft pedel hit em again and i had breaks but it wasnt break pad pulled everything apart the next day it was the caliper piston on the rotor, the break pad had totaly disintigrated cuz it wasnt where it should be !! total break job cost me over $500 and i did it myself....
what years the bronc ? mine was an 89 with auto hubs.... <-- real crappy if there auto hubs then it might be them binding up or granaded apart inside the hub
go manual locking hubs they last alot longer
