Im counting down the days till my juice/attitude shows on my front door....
Anyway, I know if I take the truck to the dealer for anything, I need to remove the juice..but what about the actual in dash display??? Should that come off too and the egt sensor at the manifold??
And they will flag you for future warrenty work if something happens. This is why I got the Predator, it comes out in minutes if I need to go to the dealer.
The Service Manager and Diesel Techs know because they have seen many of these with chips. You should remove it all. That is why I have a predator. It takes less than 5 minutes to get ready to go to the dealer.
Does the predator have digital readout like the edge. I went with the edge for this reason. Also the edge is not that difficult to remove if you know what your doing. No insult intended.
thanx for the replies guys....one more thing, what about the hole in the manifold from the egt sensor??? What would you do, find something that will fit in its place??

Leave the EGT sensor in place, just unplug it. Fashion a plug that fills the plug in socket to keep it from filling with dirt. Tape up the plug to keep it clean.

You can get real time data on nearly all systems displayed on a laptop with a predator.
The Predator leaves nothing. It just reprograms the PCM and has no gages that are part of the package. The tuner unplugs after the program is installed so there is no visable trace that you have modified anything. It takes less than 5 minutes to restore the stock program if you need to take it to the dealer.
