360 hesitation

I currently have a 360 with headers, dual exhaust, holley 670 Street avenger w/elec. choke and MSD Cap, wires and coil in my F-100. When taking of from a stop or under about 1800 Rpm in hesitates for a second then clears right up. Sometimes it doesnt do it but thats rare. usually happens when truck at normal temp. 160-180. Any recommendations guys?

Hi,

Well I reckon I would start with the accl pump on the carb. Make sure the linkage is adjusted correctly. The pump should start to discharge the instant the throttle starts to open.

If it's adjusted correctly you can also change pump cams and also pump nozzle sizes to optimize pump timing and duration.

Hope this helps,
Lee
