The drivers side power door lock is starting to go out. The lock is very sluggish and sometime does not activate. Two months ago I sprayed the mechanism with some lite oil, that helped for a little while. If anyone has had a problem with their power locks I would appricate any advice. I could not see the power relay on the power lock there is not much room to see inside the door.
About 2 years ago the power locks on my 94 started going funky too. I soaked them down, I mean really soaked everything, with WD40. No problem since, work like new.

If you were able to get the lock to work right by mass spraying a lube over all the linkages and pivots, that's great. But if that doesn't help, there could be a problem with the door lock motor itself. It's installed with its shaft and actuation rod pointing upward. It comes from the factory with a rubber water shield over the rod. With age, this shield disintegrates, and when it does, water that gets onto the lock mechanisms follow the linkages right into the motor. The motor is otherwise sealed, so the water accumulates at it bottom, where the brushes are. Eventually that whole area corrodes, and the motor stops working.
The first line of defense is the rub strip that the window glass sits against. It prevents most of the water from getting into the door. When water does get in, the motor relies on the rubber shield for protect it. When I replaced my motors, I drilled a tiny hole at the bottom of the motor so that when water makes its way in, it can also drain out. Of course, I also sprayed heavy duty rust-preventing lubricant in there to help further protect the electrical parts.
Also, light oil is not a useful lubricant. It can be used to clean and loosen the mechanism, but it also attracts dirt, and it drains off the parts. I would spray it with a heavy oil, like white lithium grease. That stays where it is needed, and does not attract as much dirt as light oils do.
