I'm very close to buying 2004 F150 XLT Supercab 4x4, and I am familiar with the incentives like the regular rebate, tow and go, and Ford Credit Cash. Now I think I might prefer an FX4... Are there any "special" rebates that apply to the FX4? I guess I would lose the tow and go.
I am buying X-plan, and I am in the Boston region.
If I understand things correctly, FX4 is nothing more than an option package. It's NOT a trim package like XLT. XLT gives you things like A/C, cloth 40/20/40 seating, and the like. FX4 gives you a couple of under-body skid plates, spiffy eye-candy shock absorbers and that FX4 decal.
But I could be wrong. I'm still a SD wannabe driving a Bronco!
Steve, reread Doug's reply, fx4 is not a trim package, it is no more than skid plates, shocks, and a decal. There is not a trim pacxkage between xlt and lariat.
FX4 is a separate line - It includes a lot of things... 3.73 Limited slip, 5.4L, different grille and bumpers, different wheels, ESOF (unfortunately), different seats, etc.
Yep, I stand corrected. I just looked and for the F150, the FX4 is in fact a trim package between XLT and Lariat. If you look at the ordering specs for the Super Duty trucks, you'll notice the FX4 options package. You can see where the confusion would reign. My apologies!
Tow & Go only applies to XLT. There's a "Power Group" discount on FX4 and Lariats that have all of the following three items: power seat, power pedals, and power sliding rear window. $600 MSRP/ $533 invoice discount.
Steve91-There are no special rebates for the FX4 as compared to the XLT. The difference in rebates comes when you compare the Regular Cab or SuperCab to the SuperCrew. And yes, you do lose the Tow & Go discount when you go to the FX4. However, if you are interested in leasing, be sure to check that out on the FX4, as Ford's residuals are EXTREMELY excellent right now. Also the trim packages go in the following order...
XL, STX, XLT, FX4, and LARIAT (and in the 05 model year, we WILL have a LARIAT KING RANCH again)
