I want to install a Diablo Predator on my stock 2000 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel mainly for performance/ increase in mileage.
Do I need to do any mods to the motor like exhaust or gauges or anything else.

I have done a little reading on this forum and have seen this mentioned as add ons people have done but are they required?

Keep it in the low settings and you should be okay. If you are going to play with the high settings and are going to really put your foot in it or take it to the track, get gauges. If you can only afford one, get an EGT (pyro) gauge.

 

What about the 4" exhaust I see people talking about?

a 4" turbo back that will play great with the predator then you can run the higher setting but you better watch the gauges like a hawk unless you buy a pyrometer and boost gauge

 

Now you are talking. The addiction will kick in soon enough. There are alot of 4" exhaust kits out there, too many to list. Look in my signature for mine. With the 4" exhaust and a different intake you will drop EGTs alot and pick up some boost, but in the higher setting you will still have to watch your temps or fry your turbo. Get gauges if you plan on any other mods.
